“Postgraduate study allows you huge freedom to explore an amazing range of ideas and really find what it is that interests you. I was lucky enough to have a fantastic MA supervisor, who was both completely supportive of my project but also consistently challenged me to address new theories and test my own ideas.

“I believe a social sciences background provides you with the breadth and general knowledge to take a broader view, and understand what really drives organizations, societies, and change. I’ve never been a technical specialist or expert, but have rather been useful to my employers by bringing disparate ideas, theories and approaches together, and being able to see a bit more of the bigger picture.

“It’s impossible to exaggerate how important my postgraduate education was in opening so many doors. I’m so grateful for, and still enjoying the payoff from those couple of short, incredibly enjoyable years. If you take the plunge, you’ll never regret it.”
