Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Interpreting
This programme prepares you for a career as a professional interpreter and emphasises the professional reality of interpreting in New Zealand.
- A completed Bachelors degree, or
- An approved equivalent combination of tertiary study and professional qualifications and/or experience, and
-
Competence in English and an approved further language or languages to at least the following levels:
- an IELTS score of 7.5 in the oral band for non-native speakers of English
- for languages other than English, oral and written competency equivalent to at least the level of advanced undergraduate courses at this University.
An interview in both languages and an aptitude test is required.

The certificate consists of 60 points (three courses) covering both theory and practice.
