Why Study MTESOL at the University of Auckland

This specialist Master in TESOL (MTESOL) degree is comparable to an MA in TESOL. It is particularly suitable for practising teachers who are not able to attend classes on campus. The MTESOL is a web-based programme taught by distance, designed for applicants with experience of teaching English as a second or foreign language. The programme gives teachers a strong academic grounding in the teaching of English as a second or other language. MTESOL courses provide a structured learning environment while also allowing you to follow your own interests. The courses draw on web-based resources. We offer classes with online discussion forums and regular feedback.
