“As I was the first person in my family to attend University, I had no desire or passion to attend University while I was at high school. However, after discussing my future with my friends, teachers and career advisers it was clear that The University of Auckland was the place to go. Not only is it highly prestigious and internationally recognised, but it also offered me all the things I wanted to study - social policy, media studies and law.

“Being a student has also given me the opportunity to interact with and make friends with a diverse range of people. To me, this is one of the most beneficial aspects of student life that I will end up taking with me when I leave.”
