Faculty of Arts
The Arts Equity team
Arts Equity provides support to enable under-represented groups to achieve successful educational outcomes in tertiary education.
The Arts Equity office aims to provide a supportive study and work environment that meets Treaty of Waitangi obligations to ensure all groups of students are successful at the University.
We support Māori and Pacific students, Targeted Admission Scheme (TAS) students, students with a disability and/or learning impairment, mature students, students from low socio-economic backgrounds and Māori and Pacific staff members.
We provide four programmes aimed at increasing Māori and Pacific achievement, engagement and retention rates at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
