Undergraduate study
You are encouraged to reflect on your life contexts and to draw upon your other studies within Biblical Studies and Christian Thought and History. You will also draw upon feminist, indigenous and liberation theologies; knowledge from psychology, sociology and anthropology; critical theory and cultural and leadership studies.
You can also study pastoral theology, spirituality, ethics and justice, and methods of theological reflection.
Undergraduate programmes in Practical Theology
You can study Practical Theology as:
- a Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) major or minor subject
- elective courses in the BTheol
- part of the 30 points permitted from non-Arts courses if you are studying a BA.

Requirements for a BTheol major and minor
For a single major you must pass at least 135 points in one subject area, including 60 points above Stage II.
For a double major you must pass at least 120 points in each of two majors, including 45 points above Stage II in each major.
For a BTheol minor you must pass at least 90 points in another subject area, including 60 points above Stage I and 15 points at Stage III.
