Study options in Practical Theology
Practical Theology asks questions concerning love and justice and the relationship between the church and the world. Practical Theology draws upon feminist, indigenous and liberation theologies; psychology, sociology and anthropology; and cultural and leadership studies.
You are encouraged to critique, reflect, challenge and act in order to translate your theological identity and spirituality from theory to practice.
Practical Theology is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Theology, and is taught by the School of Theology.
Proposed changes for 2014
From 2014 Practical Theology will become part of the subject Theology. Although no longer a separate subject, you will be able to study practical theology as part of Theology. (This change is currently subject to approval for 2014.)
