Undergraduate study
You will study logical analysis and programming.
Logic and Computation consists of courses from Computer Science, Linguistics, Mathematics and Philosophy. You can combine courses from these areas or you can focus on Computer Science or Philosophy.
Courses in Logic and Computation will give you a sound practical knowledge, conceptual and analytical skills and a deeper theoretical understanding of the field.
You can study Logic and Computation as:
- a BA major or minor subject
- elective courses in the BA
- a subject within the Certificate in Arts.

You should enrol in the two Stage I core courses: COMPSCI 101 Principles of Programming and PHIL 101 Introduction to Logic.
Requirements for a BA major and minor
For a single major you must pass at least 135 points, including at least 60 points above Stage II.
For a double major you must pass at least 120 points in each of two majors, including at least 45 points above Stage II in each major.
For a BA minor you must pass at least 90 points, including at least 60 points above Stage I.
