Geography

Geography is concerned with natural and human phenomena in the environment. It spans the social and physical sciences and applies this knowledge to resource assessment and environmental management.

Human Geography considers the economic structure of cities, demographic changes and the effects of social policies. Physical Geography studies spatial and environmental phenomena, environmental conservation and the management of resources (water, soil, coasts, atmosphere and ecology).

Geography and your career

Geography graduates use their specialist knowledge in government, forestry and environmental agencies. They have also found careers in business, policy, planning and education.
