Undergraduate study
Ethnomusicology analyses the ways that music can interact with gender, race, religion, the media, politics, history and other areas of human life.
You can study the varied musical traditions of the Pacific, the musics of India, popular music and gender, jazz, R'n'B and world music fusion.
You can study Ethnomusicology as:
- a BA minor subject (major not available)
- elective courses in the BA
- a subject within the Certificate in Arts.
You can also take courses in Ethnomusicology as part of a major or minor in Anthropology.

Requirements for a BA minor
For a BA minor you must pass at least 90 points, including at least 60 points above Stage I.
