English Language Acquisition and Linguistics

If you speak English as an additional language, you can combine the study of academic English language with the scientific study of language structure.

You will take courses in Academic English Studies (formerly called English as a Second Language), Linguistics and Language Teaching and Learning. As well as improving your skills in academic English, you can develop an understanding of how languages (including English) work. You will also study the principles of language teaching and learning.
