Graduate Diploma in Arts

This programme allows students who already have an undergraduate degree to take undergraduate Arts courses, or to combine undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The GradDipArts can be used as a bridging programme to postgraduate study.

Subjects available

The diploma may be taken in BA subjects or BA(Hons) subjects.

Admission requirements
  • A completed BA or other degree, or an approved level of competence equivalent to a degree and appropriate for your proposed course of study.
  • If you have only 15 points left to complete your BA, you may be permitted in the diploma while you complete your BA.
  • Approval of all relevant Heads of Departments.

Duration

Two semesters full-time. May be taken part-time.

Required course of study

120 points from BA or BA(Hons) courses. Courses must be at Stage II or above, including at least 75 points at Stage III or above. You may be able to include a dissertation. You should seek advice about your planned enrolment from the Graduate Adviser of the principal subject you want to study.
