Newspaper and Print Archive and Newspaper Clippings Archive

The Department maintains a significant collection of print material which is available to staff and graduate students of the Department.

Prior to extensive full text computer databases and indexing, the Department maintained a collection of newspaper clippings. The collection runs from 1966 up to December 1997.

Articles from newspapers (mainly The New Zealand Herald) are marked with the date, page, and source, and placed together in plastic envelopes according to our own subject classification system. These envelopes are stored in archival quality boxes in a temperature controlled room in the Arts Building.

For enquiries about print materials archives consult the Department office or politics@auckland.ac.nz.
