Bill McAra Scholarship
The scholarship was established in 2005 and is financed by the Estate of Diana Miriam Wilsie. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage Postgraduate research on the study of Marxism-Leninism Scientific Socialism or research in areas concerning the history, philosophy and practice of socialism that relates to it at The University of Auckland.
Selection process:
- The scholarship will be awarded to a student undertaking a Postgraduate degree in Political Studies at The University of Auckland where the research is related to the study of Marxism- Leninism Scientific Socialism or research in areas concerning the history, philosophy and practice of socialism.
- The basis of selection will be academic merit as determined by the Selection Committee.
- The scholarship is tenable by a student who is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand.
