About the Department of Political Studies
The Department of Political Studies at The University of Auckland is one of Australasia’s leading politics departments.
We offer study opportunities in Political Studies from Bachelor of Arts through to PhD. Our teaching and research cover the major strands of Political Studies:
- international relations
- political theory
- politics and the media
- comparative politics
- public policy.
You can study New Zealand politics, democracy, foreign and security policies, and identity politics. We are interested in topical issues such as multiculturalism, human rights, globalisation and terrorism.
We also offer specialist postgraduate programmes in International Relations and Human Rights and Public Policy.
