Postgraduate students
The Department of Philosophy offers various opportunities for postgraduate study, both full-time and part-time.
Postgraduate study gives you the opportunity to work closely with excellent people in a University that generously supports graduate research.
You can extend your skills and disciplinary knowledge base through coursework or specialised research projects completed under supervision.
A postgraduate degree in Philosophy can take you almost anywhere since it provides both specialist and transferable skills that are valued in many careers, organizations and consultancies.
Postgraduate students are frequently employed as Graduate Teaching Assistants or research assistants on staff projects.
We welcome inquiries from New Zealand and international students. Please contact the Graduate Advisor for academic advice on specific programmes or courses.
