Writer in Residence
In partnership with the Michael King Writers' Centre and Te Waka Toi, Creative New Zealand, the Department of English hosts The University of Auckland Residency, which enables a writer to reside for six months of the year, from July to December, at the Michael King Centre, which is located in an historic villa in Devonport. The fellowship includes a financial stipend, plus access to a University office, printing and computing facilities, and an opportunity to contribute to teaching and creative mentoring in the department.
