The Department of Anthropology at The University of Auckland offers New Zealand's leading programme in Anthropology.
You have diverse opportunities for postgraduate study in the four major sub-fields of anthropology:
- Archaeology
- Biological Anthropology
- Ethnomusicology
- Social Anthropology
You are also encouraged to work across these sub-fields to gain both qualitative and quantitative research skills.
Postgraduate study in the Department of Anthropology can be undertaken as part of a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, a Master of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Arts, a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts, and a Doctor of Philosophy.
