The 2004 Bell Block Field School conducted excavations at P19/262, Oropuriri, Bell Block, New Plymouth.

The field school was run in conjunction with a commercial contract to excavate P19/262, a collaborative project with the University of Auckland, Archaeology North and Geometria. The site was first excavated during the 2002 Department of Archeology field school.

The excavation offered students an excellent chance to see how the commercial side of archaeology in New Zealand is run.
