Language Teaching and Learning is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and is taught by the Department of Applied Language Studies and Linguistics.

What can you study in Language Teaching and Learning?

Language Teaching and Learning will give you a foundation in English language teaching. You will have an understanding of how English functions as a language. You will be introduced to the practicalities of language teaching, and can study topics such as the English language teaching curriculum and how both adults and children learn a second language.

You can study Language Teaching and Learning as:

• elective courses in the BA
• part of the BA major/minor in Linguistics and English Language Teaching
• part of the BA major/minor in English Language Acquisition and Linguistics
