Master of Creative Writing

     

The Master of Creative Writing is a one-year postgraduate degree for students with creative potential who are interested in writing a novel, short story collection, poetry collection, cross-genre/multimedia work, creative non-fiction, or another approved project.

        The MCW is a one-year intensive degree involving weekly seminars and regular individual meetings with a project adviser. 


A Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or equivalent in English or in a relevant subject. 


       MCW students have successfully completed novels, short story collections and poetry manuscripts. 


In 2010 the degree is limited to a maximum of 12 students with demonstrated creative potential, and the following application process must be followed. 


All our staff members are working practitioners and our courses are closely informed by trends in the profession. 


     The MCW provides a broad creative education that can equip you to work as a leader in the creative professions.
