Creative Writing

     

Creative Writing is available for the Master of Creative Writing. This postgraduate programme is for students with creative potential who are interested in undertaking a challenging writing project.

 

The Master of Creative Writing is taught by the Department of English.

 

You can study creative writing at undergraduate level as part of English or Writing Studies.

        The creative writing project During this one-year programme you will write a novel, short story collection, poetry collection or creative non-fiction. 


Admission requirements Admission requirements for the Master of Creative Writing are: a four-year bachelors degree; or bachelors honours degree; or  a bachelors degree combined with: either a professional qualification equivalent to one year’s advanced study or at least three years of relevant professional experience. 


All our staff members are working practitioners and our courses are closely informed by trends in the profession. 


    The Master of Creative Writing provides a broad creative education that can equip you to work as a leader in the creative professions.
