New Zealand's leading faculty of arts offers excellent opportunities for postgraduate study in the humanities, social sciences and languages. 

The Faculty of Arts at The University of Auckland was recently ranked among the top arts faculties in the world. We were ranked number 39 for arts and humanities and number 30 for social sciences by the 2008 Times Higher Education Supplement World University Rankings. The most recent PBRF exercise awarded us the highest number of A-rated researchers overall in New Zealand (2006-7 Performance Based Research Fund evaluation, New Zealand Tertiary Education Commission).
