Jacqui True graduated BA in Political Science from Victoria University, BA with first class honours in international relations from Monash University, Australia, and MA in Political Science from the University of Arizona. She received her Ph.D in Political Science from York University, Canada (2000).

Dr. True is author of Globalization, Gender and Post-Socialism (Columbia University Press, 2003) is a co-author of Theories of International Relations (Palgrave, 1996, 2001, 2005) and co-editor of Feminist Methodologies in International Relations (Cambridge, 2006).

She is a member of the editorial boards of Foreign Policy Analysis, Politics and Gender and of Women, Politics and Policy.

In 2008, Dr True is teaching Politics 341 International Political Economy, a contributing lecturer for Politics 106 International Relations in semester 1, and teaching Politics 213 Gender and Politics and Politics 743 Global Civil Society in semester 2.

Dr True is a contributor on the blog www.everydayfeminism.ac.nz and encourages her students to blog on here as well.
