Aims

The aims of the Centre are:

1. To be a leading Asia-Pacific Centre for Latin American research and teaching.

2. To provide an academic forum for discussion and debate on policy issues of interest to New Zealand and Latin America.

3. To promote dialogue between, and serve as a point of access for, scholars, officials, business people and community groups involved in the New Zealand-Latin American relationship.

Thank you for visiting the NZCLAS website. In it we hope you will find everything you need to know about what our Centre has achieved and what it aspires to achieve -- as both an academic research centre and a servant of the broader relationship between New Zealand and Latin America. We encourage you to learn about the people who belong to the Centre and its Board; to discover our current projects; to access the links to other key stakeholders in the relationship we study; and to consult our databases of researcher and businesses who bring the peoples of New Zealand and Latin America together.

A series of databases are currently being produced listing researchers, companies, and business networks. These will appear on the site in the near future.

The Centre's website will eventually be translated into Spanish and Portuguese. The following symbols will appear on pages for which translations are available.
