Biography

I am a Research Fellow in the Department of Social and Community Health.

My current research is focused on the making of policy. I am specificaly interested in two aspects of this process: first, in the role of evidence, expertise, and knowledge; second, in the participation and impact of interest groups and publics. 

Prior to my appointment at the University of Auckland, I was an Asssistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Nazarbayev University. In 2015, I completed my PhD in Sociology from the University of Melbourne.
