Flexible Learning Option
For students living in the Auckland area, we offer a flexible learning option. This course is a flexible stream of our on-campus course, French 102. You work at home (or on-campus, if you wish) with the same materials as for French 162. Purchase of the materials is up to you. CDRoms may be purchased for $100 or accessed at no cost from the University’s Computer lab suite HSB 420.
The flexible stream covers the same language topics as French 162, but in addition to the independent study programme, it offers one class per week, Thursday 6-8 pm. This class will be mostly dedicated to oral interaction. Attendance at class is essential and participation is graded. In addition to classes, you must be available to come on-campus for course tests and exams three times during the course of the semester, generally, during the evening, between 6 and 8pm. For more detailed information see the course web page for French 102, Flexible Stream.
