Facilities

Facilities at the Arts Graduate Study Centre focus on the study needs conveyed to us by students. There are more than 100 computer workstations, Apple and Windows systems, computer support staff regularly on site, and printing and photocopying facilities. You can make use of quiet study areas, group study rooms and lockers, and can mix with other graduates and researchers in the lounge area.

Lockers

Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 64 small lockers and 104 large lockers. You will need to supply a 30mm padlock and register your use at the Arts Labs Help Desk, Social Sciences Building, Room 158 (adjacent to the Centre) or artslabs@auckland.ac.nz.

Please do not store valuables in these lockers.

Access

If you are a Faculty of Arts postgraduate student, please request access via Sharepoint.  

Hours and location

The Arts Graduate Study Centre is available 7am to 12 midnight for all Faculty of Arts graduate students. The University may restrict access to the Arts Graduate Study Centre for health and safety, maintenance and security purposes or during University closures as notified at the Centre entrances.

The Centre is located in the ground floor level of the Social Sciences Building (10 Symonds Street) with entry from Wynyard Street.

Access is by a secure access card issued to enrolled Faculty of Arts postgraduate students only.

Support

Support staff are available at the Arts Labs Helpdesk in the Social Sciences Building Room 158 (ground level, entry off Wynyard Street)  during open hours of undergraduate labs.
