Support

Support staff are available at the Arts Labs Help Desk in the Social Sciences Building Room 158 during undergraduate lab opening hours. The Help Desk is on ground level, entry off Wynyard Street, opposite the Social Sciences Building 151 self-access lab and adjacent to the Arts Graduate Study Centre.

Headphones, course-related CDs, external drives, dictionaries and a thesauri are available for loan from the Help Desk for lab use.

During peak times of the day, support staff have to restrict assistance to five minutes so they can assist everyone who needs help.

The disciplinary areas within our schools provide further training in specialist software if they require work in those applications. Training in general software applications is provided by the Student Learning Services.
