  • This is a waitlisted course. Your enrolment will be completed by the Arts Students’ Centre once your Language Ability Declaration has been approved.
  • If you may be eligible for a higher course we will email you to advise.

If you are enrolling in a course above beginners' level

If your first enrolment in a Spanish language course is above the beginners’ course (SPANISH 104 or 104G) you may need to sit an online placement test prior to enrolment and no later than six days before the beginning of semester. Your students’ centre will check that this course can be included in your programme, as well as other eligibility criteria. If all criteria are met you will be enrolled. It may take up to 20 working days for your enrolment to be finalised, so please start the process early.

1. We will assess your Language Ability Declaration and check your student record. We aim to respond to you within five working days.

2. If you need to sit a placement test, we will give you access to the online test and send the password to you by email.

4. When you have completed the test please email spanish-info@auckland.ac.nz.

5. If your result matches expectations you will receive an email advising you to apply for an enrolment concession for that course. If your result does not match expectations you will receive an e-mail advising you to apply for an enrolment concession for the right course for your ability or you will be asked to come for an interview.

5. Apply for an enrolment concession through Student Services Online.

6. If you are an Arts student, the Arts Students’ Centre will check further details. If everything is in order they will finalise your enrolment. If you are not an Arts student your leading faculty students' centre will check further details. If everything is in order they will finalise your enrolment. This may take 5-10 working days.
