First time enrolment in Korean language courses

Places in KOREAN 110 and KOREAN 110G are strictly limited to students with no or very basic knowledge of the language. Before enrolling please make sure that you have carefully read the course descriptions in the course catalogue on Student Services Online and Korean.

We will assess your Language Ability Declaration and check your student record.

  • If you are eligible we will email you to confirm. Initiate the enrolment process on Student Services Online if you have not already done so.
  • This is a waitlisted course. Your enrolment will be completed by the Arts Students’ Centre once your Language Ability Declaration has been approved.

Students who have any prior knowledge of Korean will be assessed further by interview and/or placement test.

1. We will advise you of the place, date and time of your interview and/or placement test by email. If you cannot attend the assessment on the day proposed please contact to let us know.

2. You will be advised of the result of the interview and/or placement test on the same day.

3. You may be required to apply for an enrolment concession on Student Services Online for the course to which you are allocated.

4. If you are an Arts student, the Arts Students’ Centre will check further details and if everything is in order they will finalise your enrolment. If you are not an Arts student your leading faculty students' centre will check further details and if everything is in order they will finalise your enrolment. This may take 5-10 working days.
