Media, Film and Television

Film, television and other media are central to all aspects of contemporary society.

You can study all forms of media, including film, television, the internet, music video and digital media. You can examine aesthetics, content, audiences, social context, technology and production. Our scope is international, but we have a strong focus on media in Aoteoroa New Zealand.

Study options in Media, Film and Television

Media, Film and Television is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and is taught by Media and Communication in the School of Social Sciences.

New course codes for Media, Film and Television

Some FTVMS courses now have a COMMS course code. You can count almost all of these courses towards a major or minor in Media, Film and Television.
