Clark Undergraduate Scholarships

These scholarships are to support students in financial hardship who wish to undertake a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Auckland, and are worth up to $22,000 per annum.

First in Course Awards

These are awarded at the end of each semester to the student/s who obtained the highest overall mark in a taught course. Winners are notified by the Scholarships Office and the award is recorded on the recipient’s official academic transcript. Senior Scholar Awards

Senior Scholar Awards recognise the graduating students who attained the highest marks in their undergraduate programme. Each faculty is allocated a number of awards. Winners are announced at graduation ceremonies and the award is recorded on the winner’s official academic transcript. For more information see the scholarship documents for Senior Scholar Awards.

Prizes

The University of Auckland awards a variety of Prizes each year. Prizes are awarded by the Scholarships Office on behalf of the University of Auckland Council and will display on your transcript. You don't need to apply for Prizes — they are awarded on the recommendation of the appropriate disciplinary area and/or faculty. The University of Auckland Prizes.

Māori Studies

Undergraduate

Faculty of Arts Ngāti Whātua o Ōrakei Scholarships

These scholarships are intended to encourage Ngāti Whātua o Ōrakei students to study for a BA in the Faculty of Arts.

Faculty of Arts Entry Level Undergraduate Scholarships The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage excellence in the study of subjects in the Faculty of Arts.

Postgraduate

University of Auckland Māori Postgraduate Scholarships and Pacific Postgraduate Scholarships These Scholarships are offered annually to Māori and Pacific students enrolled for an approved Masters degree, an approved Bachelors Honours degree, or, in the case where no Honours degree is available, an approved Postgraduate Diploma.
Faculty of Arts Masters/Honours/PGDip Scholarships These Scholarships were established by the Dean of Arts in December 1994, and are offered annually to meritorious students enrolled for an approved Masters degree, an approved Bachelors Honours degree, or an approved Postgraduate Diploma.
Faculty of Arts Masters Thesis Scholarships The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support students undertaking a research thesis or portfolio for an approved Masters degree in the Faculty of Arts.
University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarships The intention of the scholarships is to encourage and support academically excellent domestic and international students who are paying domestic fees, to undertake doctoral study at the University of Auckland.

Senior Scholarship

One Senior Scholarship is awarded annually on the results of Stage III courses for students majoring in Pacific Studies.

Postgraduate

University of Auckland Māori Postgraduate Scholarships and Pacific Postgraduate Scholarships
These Scholarships are offered annually to Māori and Pacific students enrolled for an approved Masters degree, an approved Bachelors Honours degree, or, in the case where no Honours degree is available, an approved Postgraduate Diploma. 
Faculty of Arts Masters/Honours/PGDip Scholarships These Scholarships were established by the Dean of Arts in December 1994, and are offered annually to meritorious students enrolled for an approved Masters degree, an approved Bachelors Honours degree, or an approved Postgraduate Diploma.
