Our graduates

A degree in Art History can lead to a wide range of interesting and often unexpected careers.

What are Art History graduates doing?

Art History has played a major role in the professionalisation of art history, art and museum curatorship and art writing in New Zealand.

Many of our past students are working in public art galleries and museums, as well as dealer galleries, in New Zealand, Australia and other parts of the world. Some work as freelance curators and art writers, and others work in the expanding business of cultural tourism.
