About Korean

We are the only New Zealand university to offer a comprehensive programme in Korean language and culture.

Studying Korean

Absolute beginners with no prior knowledge can start to learn Korean with us and can go on to PhD-level study in Korean language.  We encourage you to place language study in the broader context of Korean studies. Courses on film, history, culture and modern literature can round out your knowledge of Korea. Native speakers can also find courses to enhance their language skills.
