"Before starting my MPP at the University of Auckland, I worked for the UN Migration Agency, IOM Indonesia, for some years and was heavily involved in counter-trafficking and labour migration initiatives.

"After three years working in a development agency, I came to understand that politics is both the source and the solution to my country’s problems.

"Undertaking an MPP at the University of Auckland is an exceptional option for me to make a constructive contribution to Indonesia and the world. Studying Public Policy builds the necessary skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based policy recommendations.

"Students in the MPP programme come from a variety of nationalities and professional backgrounds. I enjoy having discussions and doing group work with them as we are able to exchange diverse knowledge and experience, with laughs in between.

"I appreciate the flexibility given to me in choosing elective courses from a wide range of options, depending on our personal preference. Besides the core courses in Public Policy, I am also taking courses in Development Studies and Philosophy.

"The atmosphere of discussion between students is strong and well maintained. The lecturers are approachable and try their best to provide the most rewarding study experience. They give constructive feedback to our assignments so that we can improve in our work.

"Studying for an MPP has given me a wide open opportunity to upgrade my skill and enhance my knowledge, which will be very helpful for my future career."
