Professor Julie Park

Professor of Anthropology in the School of Social Sciences


Professor Julie Park is a Professor of Anthropology. Her research interests are in social anthropology, anthropology of Aotearoa and settler societies, health, gender, sustainability, and research methods. 

Professor Park is currently involved in three main areas of research all relating to a broadly defined concept of health: ‘Living with haemophilia’, ‘Transnational Pacific Health through the lens of Tuberculosis’, and ‘Troubling 'Choice': Exploring and explaining techniques of moral reasoning for people living at the intersection of reproductive technologies, genetics and disability’.
