Dr Ethan Cochrane


Dr Ethan Cochrane is a Senior Lecturer in Anthropology. He has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Fiji, Polynesia, Micronesia, and Hawaii. Ethan’s research focuses on ceramics, the interplay between ancient populations and environments, and evolutionary approaches to cultural change. His work is published in journals such as Archaeology in Oceania, Journal of Archaeological Science, and Journal of Island and Coastal Archaeology. His latest book (with Andrew Gardner) is titled Evolutionary and Interpretive Archaeologies: a dialogue.
