Confirm your double major and consider a module

Towards the end of your first year of study, you will need to select two subject areas that will shape your degree. These will become your two majors, or ‘double major’.

Selecting a double major is essential and will ensure that you're on the right path to completing your degree on time and with the subject areas that meet your goals.

Thinking of taking a module? Find out more by visiting the Modules page.

To help you select your majors and choose a module, the Faculty is hosting Majors and Modules week. This is your opportunity to come in and meet academics from each school and discipline and gain an in-depth knowledge of the various subjects that are on offer.

Come along and discuss your options with academic staff to make an informed decision that will help shape your future!

Degree planning

Confused about the structure of the BA? Want to make sure you’re going to graduate on time? Come along to degree planning sessions at 12pm and 12.30pm.

The first half of the workshop (12-12.30pm) will give you a basic overview of the BA and BA conjoint programmes. It will show you how to find the required courses for your majors, explain the rules of general education, and help you find your programme requirements.

In the second half of the workshop (12.30-1pm), you will get the chance to make your own degree planner with support from one of our Student Advisers. We’ll make sure that you’re on the right track in your degree planning, and we’ll be around to answer any questions you may have.
