Professor Michael Bruter | London School of Economics and Political Science

  • How did identity shape how Brits voted in the 2016 EU referendum? Did French and Germans react to Greeks as fellow Europeans during the Euro crisis?
  • Hear findings from Michael Bruter and Sarah Harrison’s projects comparing citizens’ European identity in 27 countries – including before and after the Euro crisis and Brexit.
  • Has European solidarity and cohesion survived these acid tests?

Michael Bruter is Professor of Political Science at the LSE where he leads the ECREP initiative in electoral psychology: this includes New Zealand data. Michael publishes widely about elections, electoral psychology, youth voting, political behaviour, identities, public opinion, extreme right politics, and social science research methods.
