The New Zealand Institute for Pacific Research and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade invite you to a seminar:

The Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations Plus (PACER Plus) is a landmark trade and development agreement that will lower barriers and provide greater certainty for New Zealand businesses, while raising living standards, creating jobs and increasing exports in Pacific Island countries. It was signed on 14 June 2017 by 10 Pacific countries: Australia, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Tuvalu. The Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands and Vanuatu are still completing their domestic approval processes.

Tessa Te Mata, New Zealand’s chief negotiator for PACER Plus, will provide an overview of PACER Plus and what it means for New Zealand and the Pacific countries. She will also outline the processes going forward in terms of the development, implementation and evaluation of the agreement.
